My
husband and I took a Labor Day Week-end
road trip to celebrate our
anniversay. The first stop we made was in
Smithville, Texas which is a
quaint old town with lots of great
antique shops. This home was the site used in the movie
"Hope Floats" starring
Sandra Bullock. It sits on the edge of the
Colorado River and is the
kind of place that makes me
envy the children that
grew up here. My gang of friends and I would have had a
blast playing
hiding go seek, hunting for
lighting bugs, and
exploring the river bed.
Today the
people of Smithville are
progressive in their
thinking. Check out this
"green" skirt design. I think it needs a little
tweaking, but at least
someone is
trying to keep all these
water bottles out of the
landfill.
Loved that movie! Best that house is just beautiful!
ReplyDeleteHey Kitty. Isn't that porch/home fabulous!!! So warm and dreamy.
ReplyDeleteThanks for coming by to visit me. You're just the sweetest thing and it means so much to hear from you.
Hope you have a beautiful weekend. Hugs...Tracy :)
